About Our Ministry...
In January 2001, The South Jersey community received the music ministry of Gospel Duo Duncan & Rachelle in their hearts and in their homes when they released their first CD project entitled, “Introducing Gospel Duo Duncan and Rachelle”. Since then, the Gospel Duo has taken their music ministry to higher heights with the release of their second CD project, entitled “Through the Storm” in 2005 andthereleased their third CD project, "God's Time" in September, 2009. Both Duncan & Rachelle have been singing since their youth. Atlantic City native Reverend Duncan P. Lane, Associate Minister of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, began singing at the age of seven. Before joining forces with his wife Rachelle, Duncan was a part of many community gospel groups and choirs.Minister Rachelle Moore-Lane, Associate Minister and Minister of Music of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, began singing at the age of five. She has sung with various community choirs and is the founder of The United Gospel Singers of Pleasantville. This husband and wife team joined their talented forces in April of 1988. Since then, they have been spreading the gospel in song throughout the United States.
Their music ministry has taken them on a journey which includes; Sponsoring The SJ Connection 2008 Virginia Announcer's Guild Luncheon, The Break Through CD recording concert, Welcome America Philadelphia Gospel Fest, the Bobby Jones Gospel Industry Retreat, The Faith Fulfilled Tour, Gospel Heritage Praise & Worship Conference, James Cleveland Workshop of America, South Carolina- North Carolina-Virginia’s Announcers’ Guild Anniversary, The House of Blues Gospel Brunch, The Soul Food Gospel Fest, & The Gospel Jamboree at Six Flags Great Adventure. They have shared the stage with: Twinkie Clark, Bryon Cage, The Rance Allen Group, Maurette Brown Clark, Dottie Peoples, Martha Munizzi, The New Flying Clouds, Natalie Wilson & SOP, Tommy Ellison, Dottie Peoples, Bubby Fann & Judah Isreal, John Howard and The End-time Levites, Michelle Taylor-Buster and In-A-Way, just to name a few.
Their musical industry membership includes: The Excellence in Christian Music Awards, The James Cleveland GMWA and the (SAGMA) Stellar Awards Gospel Music Academy. The Gospel Duo has traveled to Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston, & Nashville to attend the workshops and ceremonies offered by the GMWA & SAGMA for the purpose of building their music ministry and increasing their fellowship with others in the music ministry.
Duncan and Rachelle believe that the key to their success is their total commitment to Jesus Christ in all that they set out to accomplish. They plan to take their mission of “Reaching the Lost, and encouraging the Saved, by lifting up the Name of Jesus Christ” to wherever The Lord leads them.
